LACROIX Group's electronics division, a top electronics manufacturing service provider, required a solution to improve the reliability and efficiency of its component storage and fulfillment operations during a strategic facility relocation. This hub for over 4,000 parts was critical to production, and the challenge for vendor Exotec was to implement a new system with minimal operational downtime.

Exotec implemented its Skypod automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) to solve this challenge. The solution delivered a seven-fold increase in picking productivity, dramatically streamlined workflows, and saved 600 m² of space by providing 20% denser storage. The results for LACROIX included the ability to manage over 180,000 items in a compact footprint and the reallocation of warehouse staff to more engaging tasks.
