A Exotec Case Study
GEODIS, a leading global logistics provider, faced significant challenges at its Nashville warehouse, including urgent and ever-changing fulfillment demands from multiple brands and a need to overcome labor shortages. They required a high-performing, flexible, and efficient automated order fulfillment system to handle diverse products and eliminate inefficient manual tasks for their employees. To address this, they partnered with vendor Exotec.
Exotec implemented its Skypod system, a goods-to-person robotics solution that streamlined workflows and provided rapid access to inventory. The results were transformative, enabling three employees to process over 750 order lines per hour. The system also allowed GEODIS to store over 600,000 items in a compact footprint and provided the flexibility to seamlessly adapt to changes in SKUs or order types without sacrificing performance.
