Eltra Fast-Tracks Omnichannel Growth After Reaching Warehouse Limits

Eltra, a Belgium-based wholesaler of electrical, lighting, and DIY products, faced critical limitations in storage and order processing at its manual warehouse. Seeking to scale its omnichannel fulfillment for rapid growth, the company required a solution to boost productivity and integrate seamlessly with its existing systems. They turned to the Exotec Skypod system to address this challenge.

Exotec implemented its automated Skypod storage and retrieval solution, which uses goods-to-person robotics. This system enabled Eltra to store and pick over 400,000 items within a compact 855 m² footprint. The results were game-changing, allowing three pickers to complete over 1,000 order lines per hour, dramatically increasing daily throughput and maximizing the use of their new warehouse space.
