Preview of the BAE Systems Case Study

BAE Systems Enables Web-Based Single Sign-On to Local and Remotely-Hosted Third-Party Applications with Exostar’s Identity Platform

BAE Systems, a global defense, security, and aerospace company, faced a challenge with its employees needing numerous unique identities to securely access an increasing number of external partner applications. This proliferation of identities created significant security risks and user inefficiency. BAE Systems turned to vendor Exostar for a solution to this problem.

Exostar implemented its cloud-based external identity federation platform to enable single sign-on. This solution allowed BAE Systems employees to use their existing corporate credentials to securely access key Exostar applications like its collaboration solution and Supply Chain Platform without additional logins. By connecting once to Exostar's identity hub, BAE Systems mitigated security risks, reduced the burden on its IT resources, and improved employee productivity, creating a scalable framework for future collaboration with more partners.
