How One Health Care System is Engaging its Community

Mercy Health wanted to expand its sports medicine business to deepen community outreach and keep patients engaged for longer. Mercy Health partnered with Exos to build community-facing training programs and a new 7,200‑square‑foot performance facility — including an indoor exercise pool, a 50‑yard sprint track and strength areas — to move care from acute treatment and rehab into long‑term wellness.

Exos led facility design, program development, staff training, operational planning and nutrition education, helping Mercy deliver consistent performance and training services. The program reached 999 new community members, produced a 129% increase in attendance between Q4 2015 and Q2 2016, achieved a 96% member recommendation rate, and generated 66% of new referrals from young athletes.
