A Exos Case Study
The German National Soccer Team, ranked No. 21 in the world in 2005, partnered with Exos to rebuild its performance culture and return to international prominence ahead of the 2006 World Cup. Exos was engaged to address conditioning, recovery, nutrition and consistent training by assigning a full‑time performance specialist and providing additional staff during tournaments.
Exos implemented live‑in performance specialists, periodized training programs, recovery and regeneration strategies, nutrition support, and ongoing performance testing and monitoring from 2005–2014. The work helped Germany finish third in 2006 and 2010 and become World Cup champions in 2014, with the team covering 63 kilometers per game in the 2014 group phase and ending a 24‑year gap since its previous title.
