Case Study: Charge EPC achieves utility certainty and safer routing with Exodigo

A Exodigo Case Study

Charge EPC maps 1.9x more utility footage with Exodigo

Charge EPC, a utility infrastructure construction company, faced the challenge of converting a Santa Rosa mobile home community to new metered service connections with effectively non-existent records of underground utilities. The project involved a high risk of striking live gas, electric, water, or sewer lines feeding occupied homes. Charge EPC partnered with Exodigo to use its non-intrusive multi-sensor scanning and AI-enabled analysis to create a verified subsurface map.

Exodigo’s solution mapped nearly twice the utility footage found by premium locators, identified 165 feet of phantom lines to avoid unnecessary excavations, and had three blind potholes confirm its findings. This provided Charge EPC with conflict-free corridors to safely route new piping and significantly reduced the risk of utility strikes during trenching.
