The Schiever Group modernizes its internal communication through a social intranet

Schiever, a large, highly distributed retail group with 160 stores and 7,000 employees, needed to modernize internal communication for staff who often work in warehouses or stores without regular computer access. Facing reliance on email as the almost exclusive channel, Schiever launched an intranet project and selected eXo Platform for its content management and built‑in social features to bring a more modern, social intranet experience.

eXo Platform implemented a social intranet with Active Directory‑based employee directory, departmental pages, document management and Google Docs integration, and a news stream where employees can like and comment. The rollout now gives more than 300 employees access to clear, up‑to‑date information, increased engagement (HR is using it for onboarding), and plans to expand features to further boost interactions — demonstrating tangible improvements in internal communication driven by eXo Platform.
