A eXo Platform Case Study
The Subsecretary of State Taxation engaged eXo Platform to modernize its intranet portal and digitize the tax collection process. SET needed a solution to let taxpayers, agents and staff fill and submit forms, pay taxes and update records while reducing reliance on manual paperwork and integrating with legacy systems; eXo Platform’s open-source portal and advanced CMS were selected to meet those requirements.
eXo Platform implemented a two-part portal (public site for taxpayers/agents and an intranet with integrated document management for staff), deployed in 2011 with local partner Datasystem and supported by training and on-site consulting. The solution is used by over 1,000 agents, has largely eliminated paperwork, significantly reduced time spent on manual data entry, and gives administrators configurable content management and monitoring capabilities; SET has since continued to expand use of eXo Platform features, including planned social and collaborative tools.
