Telcom Italia, TIM, uses eXo Platform to build a new cloud digital workplace

TIM, the leading Italian information and communications and telecommunications services provider, needed to modernize its enterprise cloud services and offer SMB clients a complete, easy-to-use cloud-hosted digital workplace in line with Italy’s Smart Working initiative. To deliver a white‑labeled solution, TIM selected eXo Platform to power TIM Work™, an enterprise-ready team collaboration product for SMBs.

eXo Platform supplied a flexible, extensible digital workplace—implemented with TIM and SI partner KeyBiz—featuring workspaces, enterprise social networking, chat, video conferencing, calendars and integrations with TIM’s email, VoIP and cloud storage. TIM planned first deployments in fall 2018 with a target of 50,000 end users in the first year; TIM expects measurable gains in productivity, employee connectivity and reduced absenteeism and IT costs from the eXo Platform–powered TIM Work™.
