Rennes Métropole and City unleash collaborative work for their 5,000 agents and partners

Rennes Métropole, the local authority serving 48 municipalities and over 450,000 citizens, faced a pressing need to decompartmentalize work and boost efficiency for some 5,000 agents spread across 60 locations. To enable document sharing, cross-departmental collaboration and remote/mobile work, Rennes Métropole selected eXo Platform and launched the RenZo project as a social and collaborative layer on top of its existing intranet.

eXo Platform worked with Rennes Métropole through a user-centered rollout—conducting assessments, integrating the enterprise directory and Single Sign-On, and co-developing improvements that became core product features. Within months RenZo communities formed around multidisciplinary projects (new financial tools, an innovation lab, a major digital-mobility event) and corporate groups harmonized knowledge and practices, giving eXo Platform a tangible, organization-wide collaborative workspace for 5,000 agents across 60 sites.
