Case Study: Val d’Oise achieves closer collaboration and improved collective efficiency with eXo Platform

A eXo Platform Case Study

Preview of the Val d’Oise Case Study

Regional government builds a collaborative intranet for its employees

Val d’Oise, the local government just outside Paris serving over one million citizens and nearly 4,000 administrative officers, needed a unified digital collaboration platform to standardize access to business applications, share institutional information and support cross-departmental projects across dozens of sites. After a public tender the department selected eXo Platform to deliver a holistic intranet and collaboration hub — deployed as the “Mosaik” portal — to meet those requirements.

eXo Platform implemented a portal with SSO and Active Directory integration, enterprise content and web content management, an internal social network, role-based app access and a customizable “My Applications” launcher, rolled out progressively with limited customization for easy upgrades. The solution improved information flow and mobile access, fostered spontaneous collaboration (about 200 collaborative spaces), and helped roughly 4,000 officers across 20+ teams work more closely together; Val d’Oise has renewed its trust in eXo Platform since 2010 and deployed a usability-focused update in 2018.
