A eXo Platform Case Study
Opalia Pharma, a leading Tunisian pharmaceutical company of the Recordati Group, needed to connect office and on-site employees and speed up the flow of field insights that were getting delayed by hierarchical reporting. Opalia selected eXo Platform to implement a digital workplace — including an enterprise social network and mobile-enabled collaboration tools — to centralise knowledge, improve top-down/peer-to-peer/bottom-up communication, and support medical sales reps in the field.
eXo Platform delivered an all‑in‑one digital workplace (ESN, integrated knowledge management, task and calendar features, and a mobile app with chat and push notifications), with regional support available onsite in Tunisia. Launched in January 2019, the solution is used daily by up to 100 active users—mostly via mobile—where collaborative spaces have emerged and Opalia reports improved communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing; the company is now tracking engagement and considering eXo rewards (gamification and recognition) to boost adoption further.
