Modernize Internal Communication And Centralize Access to Regulatory Documents, While Ensuring Their Quality and Reliability

SDIS 46, the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Lot, faced fragmented internal communications (email-only with manual mailing lists) and a dispersed, partly paper-based regulatory document base. To modernize communications and centralize reliable, up-to-date documents, SDIS 46 selected eXo Platform to deploy an on‑premise intranet and collaborative solution, including the platform’s “Process” application.

eXo Platform led a five-month rollout with workshops to structure information, organize the document repository and onboard users; processes such as document requests, help, workspace creation and validations were integrated via the “Process” app. The intranet was launched to 1,000 agents, achieving a 10% connection rate (about 140 daily connections) despite ~900 volunteers lacking regular computer access, increasing engagement through near-daily information distribution and providing fast, centralized access to regulatory documents.
