French presidential residence optimizes staff efficiency through a collaborative and mobile intranet

Elysée, the French presidential residence, faced poor intranet adoption and an over-reliance on email and shared folders that fragmented internal information flows. The IT team sought a modern, mobile, collaborative platform to centralize exchanges, digitize records and reduce email volume, and selected eXo Platform to provide that solution.

eXo Platform delivered a social intranet with collaborative workspaces, document and content management, forums, wikis, calendars and secure mobile access, rolled out via a quick pilot and iterative, service-by-service adoption. The eXo Platform deployment made Spaces popular across the presidency’s roughly 800 employees, centralized previously chaotic SMS/email exchanges (especially for on-site events), enabled mobile photo/document sharing and measurably improved collaboration and preservation of electronic records.
