A eXo Platform Case Study
France Bénévolat, a national network connecting volunteers and 7,000 local associations, faced information silos, weak cross-network communication and a need to better pool resources and coordinate activity across its double network of member and territorial associations. To support its digital transformation and objectives—improving cohesion, multi-directional communications, cross-functionality and collaborative innovation—France Bénévolat evaluated solutions and selected the eXo Platform collaborative portal, launching a Proof of Concept with eXo Platform to validate the approach.
eXo Platform implemented a phased, co‑created collaborative portal with institutional, operational and thematic community spaces and built‑in features such as activity streams, a document library, task management, enterprise wiki, news, instant messaging and real‑time co‑editing. Early adopters found the eXo Platform intuitive and the rollout (opened to roughly 100 users in phase two) has already streamlined communications, improved collaboration, reduced duplicated knowledge and set the stage for broader local deployment and additional features (agenda and video conferencing).
