Case Study: INRIA modernizes internal communications and boosts employee engagement with eXo Platform

A eXo Platform Case Study

Preview of the Inria Case Study

Engaging Employees With An Attractive And Collaborative Communications System

Inria, France’s national institute for research in digital science and technology with some 3,900 researchers, faced a sudden shift in working habits during the COVID-19 pandemic that exposed its outdated, top-down internal communications system. Seeking to break information silos, increase employee-centric engagement, simplify channels and support mobile and accessible usage, Inria chose eXo Platform’s open-source communications solution hosted in a private (sovereign-compliant) cloud.

eXo Platform implemented a modern digital environment covering intranet management, business portals, employee engagement and collaboration, community spaces and content/news management, with interoperability, RGAA accessibility, mobile readiness and built-in analytics. The deployment helped declutter channels, foster more participative, human-centered communications and improve reach and collaboration across research teams; eXo Platform’s analytics and community features give Inria measurable performance indicators to track engagement and impact.
