Digital collaboration fuels iN DEMAND’s innovation and employee onboarding

iN DEMAND, a world leader in distributing transactional entertainment, faced an outdated homegrown intranet that mainly stored documents and lacked social collaboration and reliable external/mobile access. After evaluating options, iN DEMAND selected eXo Platform’s open-source, highly customizable intranet/enterprise social network to add social media–style posting and discussions plus critical controls like a document retention policy.

eXo Platform delivered a tailored enterprise social network—automatically connecting employees, enabling lively company-wide activity streams, mobile/external access, and a two-month launch with ongoing customizations—making the intranet the hub for initiatives like the company’s 30th anniversary. Within a year half of iN DEMAND’s employees adopted the new intranet as part of their daily routine, an internal survey found over 50% said they got the most out of it, and onboarding improved as new hires explore the knowledge base instead of meeting each department individually, helping break down silos and speed information dissemination.
