Aerospace Valley digitizes the animation of its network of thousands of professionals

Aerospace Valley, the French competitiveness cluster for aeronautics, space and embedded systems, faced the challenge of digitizing the animation and direct contact across its growing network of several hundred member organizations. To address this, the cluster chose French vendor eXo Platform to build a private extranet and social collaborative workspace—branded as the Connect project—to disseminate information, animate communities, and provide members with direct access to one another without adding intermediary structure.

eXo Platform delivered customized, mobile-friendly collaborative spaces after user workshops and a trial phase, creating communities (market commissions, colleges, strategic areas) equipped with document sharing, instant messaging, video calling, industry feeds and a tailored homepage, plus webinars and tutorials for adoption. The implementation positions Aerospace Valley to scale to about 5,000 users, strengthen member-to-member contact and project coordination across the territory, and enable future services (event registration, carpooling, skills search), all supported with eXo Platform’s implementation and data-protection assurances.
