Schleswig-Holstein, the northern German state, was struggling to manage a surge of refugee-related inquiries and to keep decentralized authorities informed—communications were handled solely via email, causing lost information and outdated documents. To address this, the state’s Ministry of Social Affairs, Youth and Family, supported by bimoso Consulting, chose eXo Platform’s knowledge management solution (including eXo’s Private Cloud Hosting option) to create a centralized digital hub for official information, FAQs and shared best practices.
eXo Platform delivered a tailored KM platform with structured knowledge bases, an FAQ space, collaborative editing, tagging, versioning, search, analytics and integrations, hosted in a GDPR-compliant private cloud. The implementation centralized communications, made documents searchable and easier to maintain, and improved assignment tracking; the platform has been well received across Schleswig-Holstein, with several other services expressing interest and plans to extend its use and features.
