Bimoso Consulting, a Hamburg-based firm specializing in digitizing the German public sector, partnered with eXo Platform to help the Ministry of Social Affairs, Youth, and Family of Schleswig‑Holstein solve knowledge‑management and communication challenges caused by a growing refugee caseload. Officials were relying on decentralized email exchanges, which made information easy to lose, hard to keep up to date, and difficult to share across districts and municipalities. The brief called for a centralized, searchable digital database, an FAQ space for approved answers, and an open community for exchanging best practices.

eXo Platform delivered its knowledge management platform (deployed via eXo’s Private Cloud Hosting to meet GDPR and security requirements) with collaborative editing, versioning, workflows, tagging, search, analytics and integrations to email, calendar and drive services—plus a customizable interface requiring no coding. The result was a secure, centralized repository that streamlined communications and document control, reduced information loss, and generated interest from several other Schleswig‑Holstein services considering rollout; the ministry plans to extend the solution further.
