Savills, a global real estate services firm with more than 100 sites across the UK and Europe and 3,000 UK staff, faced growing strains on its WAN as web-based applications like Citrix and VoIP became more bandwidth intensive. Aging Packeteer PacketShapers could no longer provide the visibility, prioritisation or centralized control needed to manage rising traffic and ad hoc peaks (for example large photo downloads or the “summer of sport”).
