Olentangy Local School District Turns to Exinda to Deliver Consistent Online Testing Experience

Olentangy Local School District, the largest district in Delaware County, Ohio, serves roughly 19,340 students across 24 schools and supports more than 14,000 district devices plus as many as 9,000 BYOD connections. After upgrading to 500 Mbps, the district faced bandwidth strain from student devices, streaming and software updates and needed a way to prioritize online standardized testing and ensure a predictable learning experience.

Working with SentrySafe, Olentangy deployed an Exinda 8762 appliance to gain layer‑7 visibility and real‑time monitoring, create virtual circuits and enforce policies that guarantee bandwidth for testing while limiting streaming, updates and gaming. The solution gave IT precise control and reporting—down to user/device level—so the district can reliably support over 22,000 users on a 500 Mbps link and demonstrate efficient use of resources.
