Exinda Helps The Picanol Group to Prioritise Critical Applications Over Its Global Network

The Picanol Group is an international manufacturer of high‑tech weaving machines and related industrial divisions with more than 1,900 employees and global offices. It needed a fast, resilient WAN to support bandwidth‑hungry web applications and sought a next‑generation WAN optimisation solution after its incumbent vendor was acquired and no longer supported their equipment. With limited visibility into network traffic, IT teams were forced to blindly accelerate all traffic during latency spikes, leading to inefficiency and remote‑site bottlenecks.

Working with partner Securelink, Picanol trialed and selected Exinda’s WAN optimisation appliances (2861s, 4061s and 8860s) and rolled them out across its global network. Exinda delivered granular traffic visibility, policy‑based prioritisation, QoS marking and intelligent acceleration, removing bottlenecks so employees experienced no delays. The result is more proactive application management, improved bandwidth utilisation and the confidence to deploy further bandwidth‑intensive services while protecting network resources and improving the user experience.
