U.S. Government organizations assess 23 countries’ 5G risk with Exiger

The customer, the U.S. Government, faced the challenge of understanding and mitigating its supply chain risk exposure to vulnerabilities within the global 5G infrastructure used by its organizations operating abroad. This was driven by new compliance requirements to assess cybersecurity and implement Zero-Trust technologies. Exiger was engaged to provide its analytical products and services to address this challenge.

Exiger conducted a qualitative analysis of 23 countries, assessing their 5G infrastructure, government oversight, and security measures. The solution revealed that the majority of countries had average or immature infrastructure and that 22 countries had average or below-average security. The impact of Exiger's work ensures that suppliers will adhere to stringent standards and that the U.S. Government will not acquire technology from foreign adversaries, enabling the development of a detailed supply chain risk management plan.
