Uses Exenta PLM and ERP to handle surge in knitwear orders and reduced staffing during the Covid-19 pandemic

ADPL is a New York–based fashion company that designs and executes Dillard’s private‑label women’s lines, employing about 95 people including roughly 40 designers and product developers across six brand teams. Before adopting PLM, many design and development tasks were manual or paper‑based with inconsistent tech packs, limited visibility across teams, and COVID‑era shutdowns forced designers to work from home while consumer demand rapidly shifted toward casual knitwear — creating a surge in orders and reduced staffing capacity.

ADPL implemented Exenta’s cloud PLM with integrated ERP to centralize files, automate tech packs, sample tracking, costing and vendor communication, and enable secure remote work. The system brought consistency and real‑time visibility, improved collaboration under a hybrid model, digitized archives, and freed designers for creative work — allowing ADPL to handle nearly double the order volume (one brand saw a 189% knitwear uptick) despite 40% staffing reductions and generate measurable efficiency and cost‑saving gains.
