Rubie’s Costume Company Dresses Up With Next-Gen ERP

Rubie’s Costume Company is a family-owned global costume manufacturer and licensor best known for Halloween products (about 90% of orders). After running on an HP3000 minicomputer for three decades, the legacy system blocked process improvements and could not support complex needs such as diverse licensing/royalty reporting, so Rubie’s sought a next‑generation ERP that could be phased in without forcing immediate cultural and process upheaval.

Rubie’s implemented Simparel in stages—starting with order entry, then accounts receivable and production setup, and later warehousing features for licensing, pre-packs and labeling—rolling the solution out to Canada and the U.K. The new ERP delivered one‑click, end‑to‑end order visibility, real‑time vendor updates, faster design‑to‑product cycles, easier reporting and better vendor performance management, reducing manual effort and enabling quicker, more informed decisions across the company.
