Greek School Network - Customer Case Study

Greek School Network, a service of the Greek Ministry of Education, needed a scalable, low-cost Unified Communications environment to connect students, teachers, schools and administration for Voice, Instant Messaging, Conferencing, Presence and Video Calls. To meet those requirements they engaged Exelysis and its Exelysis Unified Communication Solution (EUCS), leveraging OpenSIPs and open-source technology to minimize infrastructure costs while supporting wide-scale use.

Exelysis implemented EUCS with OpenSIPs, delivering all UC services on a compact virtual infrastructure with high performance and service standards. The solution now supports 1.5 million users across 3,500 locations, enables multiple modern communication modes, and achieved high scalability and low cost; each virtual server can handle up to 6,000 new interactions per second. Exelysis’s deployment thus met the Network’s scale and performance targets.
