Wye Cylinder Engineering, a Hereford-based manufacturer of precision hydraulic cylinders, needed to replace a phased-out manufacturing system and consolidate multiple tools for finance, maintenance, and production. The company was looking for a modern ERP platform with strong MRP II capability, an active UK user base, and ongoing product development, and found its match in Exel Computer Systems plc’s EFACS E/8.

Exel Computer Systems plc implemented EFACS E/8 with 16 full users and 13 shop-floor users, and Wye Cylinder Engineering went live in early 2016. The system delivered integrated MRP II, shop-floor data capture, reporting, and later upgraded banking and manufacturing features; as a result, Wye Cylinder Engineering says it now has a fully up-to-date system that is easy to use and has saved the business both time and money.
