Utopia Furniture Ltd, a Wolverhampton-based manufacturer of made-to-order bathroom furniture, needed to replace its aging in-house manufacturing and commercial system, which was increasingly risky to maintain and ran on unreliable, end-of-support servers. The company also needed a modern ERP platform that could handle complex routings, bills of materials, delivery sequencing, and shopfloor processes.

Exel Computer Systems plc implemented EFACS E/8 ERP and developed supporting proof-of-delivery functionality to fit Utopia’s requirements. The result was faster data loading, automated sequencing and paperwork, improved shopfloor visibility, and stronger reporting through Power BI. Utopia says processes that once took days or weeks now take minutes, and the system has unlocked significant efficiency gains across the business.
