UAV Engines Ltd, a Lichfield-based designer and manufacturer of Wankel-type engines for small and medium UAVs, was struggling with rapid growth, highly configurable 14‑level BOMs, over 13,000 part numbers, tight supplier quality/traceability requirements and an ageing bespoke ERP that could no longer be developed.
