Shower Manufacturer Improves Delivery Process With EFACS

Coram Showers, the UK’s leading specialist in shower enclosures, had outgrown its ageing DOS-based Comet MRP system and needed a modern ERP to support growth, reporting and data access. After evaluating suppliers, the company selected the EFACS ERP from Exel Computer Systems plc for its industry fit, flexibility and the vendor’s sector knowledge.

Exel Computer Systems plc tailored EFACS to Coram’s processes (about 90% fit out of the box), deploying roughly 70% of the system—MRP, MPS, backflushing, sales and purchase order processing, accounts and EDI—and used the EFACS Mailshot routine to create an EDI link to a third‑party warehouse. The change enabled despatch notes and delivery labels to be printed at the remote site and cut delivery times dramatically: where shipments once could take three to four days, around 90% of qualifying orders are now dispatched the same day, improving efficiency and customer service.
