Reabrook is a Derbyshire-based chemical manufacturer of aerosol and liquid products that in 2009 found its legacy manufacturing planning system—dating from the early 1990s—could no longer support its growing, two-site operations. After evaluating options, Reabrook selected Exel Computer Systems plc and its EFACS E/8 ERP as a modern, customizable replacement that could replicate required functionality while providing tools to tailor the system without rewriting core code.

Exel Computer Systems plc implemented EFACS E/8 following a six-month planning programme and a go-live on 28 April 2011, delivering a fully integrated system that sharply reduced reliance on spreadsheets and paper-based processes. Using EFACS E/8’s Extendable Applications Reabrook developed bespoke apps and extended its purchase-approval workflow, eliminating information “islands,” improving operational flow across sites and unlocking new opportunities that have delivered substantial, hard-to-quantify ROI.
