A Exel Computer Systems plc Case Study

Preview of the Komfort Partitioning Case Study

Komfort Partitioning Ltd design and manufacture internal glazed and solid partition systems with integrated doorsets.

Komfort Partitioning, a manufacturer of internal glazed and solid partition systems with integrated doorsets, needed to modernize its long-running EFACS E/8 ERP environment and replace an increasingly dated hosted setup. The company also wanted to address performance concerns around a large design and manufacturing database, gain access to newer Microsoft server capabilities, and resolve dissatisfaction with its previous hosting provider.

Exel Computer Systems plc upgraded Komfort Partitioning to EFACS E/8 version 8.6.3 and moved hosting to Exel’s trusted partner, Iomart. The implementation was smooth, with no database or server issues, and allowed Komfort to adopt EFACS capacity planning functionality with only minor customization. The result was a more resilient system, improved responsiveness, and better use of built-in ERP features, though ROI was not directly measured.
