A Exel Computer Systems plc Case Study

Preview of the HV Wooding Case Study

HV Wooding - A Productive Relationship With Exel Since 1994

HV Wooding, a precision-engineering manufacturer founded in 1968, faced growing pains from rising customer demands, complex order configurations and poor visibility caused by bespoke IT systems, spreadsheets and a legacy UNIX-based EFACS 3.3.3 installation. To modernize operations and improve capacity planning, data access and stock control, HV Wooding engaged Exel Computer Systems plc to move to the browser-based EFACS E/8.

Exel Computer Systems plc migrated HV Wooding to EFACS E/8, delivering a richer user interface, stronger data validation, ADAPT-driven customization and Workflow automation plus ongoing support during rollout. The new system eliminated many workarounds and legacy tools, is now available across 25 screens on the shop floor, enables direct spreadsheet sales-order imports (removing manual entry), has already delivered a return on investment and provides a platform for further gains such as forklift touchscreen access and expanded quality and stock-control functionality.
