Gen 2 Carbon - Customer Case Study

Gen 2 Carbon, which had outgrown a mix of Sage 50, Salesforce and spreadsheets, needed a fast, hosted ERP to provide proper stock control, multi‑company/multi‑currency support and scalable, report‑rich operations. After evaluating several systems the company selected Exel Computer Systems plc and its EFACS E/8 solution to replace manual processes and deliver sales order processing, purchasing, stock control and accounting in a browser‑based platform.

Exel Computer Systems plc implemented a fully hosted EFACS E/8 system (contract signed July 2017, live autumn 2018), replacing fragmented spreadsheets with integrated ERP modules. The rollout improved stock accuracy, works‑order management and productivity, delivered smoother sales order processing and finance, and reduced licensing costs for three‑shift operations; Gen 2 Carbon has since added manufacturing functions and is rolling out CRM and shop‑floor data collection to drive further gains.
