Case Study: CBE+ achieves single-system, group-wide visibility and rapid ERP consolidation with Exel Computer Systems plc's EFACS E/8

A Exel Computer Systems plc Case Study

Preview of the CBE+ Case Study

CBE+ has expertise in precision engineering, electroless nickel plating, gear cutting and laboratory services

CBE+ — a precision engineering, electroless nickel plating, gear cutting and laboratory-services group created from multiple acquisitions — faced fractured IT following the merger: two different manufacturing systems linked to QuickBooks and Sage respectively, four systems and two databases, no CRM and manual capacity planning in spreadsheets. To achieve group-wide visibility and streamline operations, CBE+ selected Exel Computer Systems plc and its EFACS E/8 ERP as the target solution.

Exel Computer Systems plc implemented EFACS E/8 as a hosted, single‑domain ERP with an accelerated rollout (contracted November 2019, implementation from January 2020 and go‑live on 1 June 2020, delivered remotely due to COVID). The result: CBE+ moved from four systems and two databases to one system and one database, gaining a single version of the truth, eliminating manual data reconciliation, improving visibility and control, and avoiding an extra round of legacy software subscription fees — positioning the group for higher productivity and faster growth.
