ASD Lighting designs, develops and manufactures commercial lighting systems from its 200,000 sq ft factory in the heart of South Yorkshire, and have done so for over 37 years

ASD Lighting, a 37‑year‑old designer and manufacturer of commercial lighting based in South Yorkshire, needed a modern ERP to replace ageing systems and support growth. After attending a demonstration by Exel Computer Systems plc, ASD selected EFACS E/8 for its new touchscreen shopfloor data capture, mobile CRM and built‑in Power BI capabilities.

Exel Computer Systems plc implemented EFACS E/8 (going live on 16 March 2020), delivering mobile CRM used by field sales, Power BI dashboards and touchscreen/tablet paperless picking. Nine months post‑go‑live ASD had developed about 20 regularly run Power BI reports, eliminated reams of paper through direct job dispatch and group‑picking, and reported clear productivity and visibility improvements with plans to extend EFACS further.
