Diriyah Gate Development Authority reaches 30 million viewers with Executive Visions Inc.

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority, responsible for developing a UNESCO World Heritage site, faced the enormous challenge of producing a royal inauguration event to announce the rebirth of Diriyah, the historic birthplace of Saudi Arabia, to the world. To accomplish this, they partnered with experiential producer Executive Visions Inc. (EVI) to manage and produce a complex, large-scale event.

Executive Visions Inc. assembled a global team to produce an epic opening ceremony. The solution involved a multi-faceted approach including intricate 3D projection mapping on the ancient mud walls, a dynamic lighting design, a live cast, a custom-composed orchestral suite, and the creation of a massive projection-mapped falcon puppet. The event reached a live audience of dignitaries and was broadcast to 30 million viewers. The accompanying media campaign generated billions of global impressions, successfully marking a landmark realization for Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative.
