SportScheck, Germany’s leading outdoor retailer and part of the Otto Group, wanted to extend its in-store expertise and customer service into its growing online business. To better advise customers on complex products across sports, outdoor, and fashion categories, SportScheck turned to excentos and its Guided Selling/Product Guides technology.
excentos implemented web-based Product Guides for more than 10 product categories across desktop, iOS apps, smartphones, and in-store environments, using a shared core of product data, recommendation logic, and content. The solution was fully adaptable in SportScheck’s backend, integrated with the brand’s corporate design, and supported special in-store advice concepts; results included improved conversion, upselling and cross-selling, and a reduction in return rates.
