OrthoAccel, a Houston-based medical device company behind the AcceleDent orthodontic platform, needed help improving its companion iPad/mobile app used to connect with AcceleDent Optima via Bluetooth, track treatment and usage data, and secure patient information under HIPAA requirements. The app was also experiencing usability and performance issues, especially during peak logins.

Excellarate enhanced the app and its backend/frontend systems, introducing a simpler biometric login flow with Touch ID and Face ID, redesigning treatment records, improving analytics, and supporting UAT plus backend deployment and database migration. Excellarate also helped strengthen compliance for the regulated healthcare environment, resulting in a more secure, more usable app with fewer crashes under high user load and better overall performance.
