CloudOn, a provider of office productivity and collaboration software for mobile and desktop, needed help improving interoperability between LibreOffice Writer and Microsoft Word. Excellarate, then operating as Synerzip in the case study, was engaged for offshore development support in the office productivity and mobility space.

Excellarate enhanced LibreOffice open-source libraries to bridge feature gaps between MS Office OOXML and LibreOffice ODF, while also delivering strong project management and automation support. The work reportedly resulted in 50% cost savings for CloudOn, along with smoother delivery, trusted partnership, and improved product compatibility.
