EDN Healthcare, a HIPAA-certified digital technology company headquartered in Pensacola, FL, needed to accelerate development of its healthcare software, Patient Communication Board (PCB). The product replaces hospital whiteboards by displaying patient information, care-team details, round notes, daily updates, and forecast information in the patient’s preferred language. Excellarate supported EDN Healthcare in meeting this challenge.

Excellarate helped build the PCB application frontend in Angular and a .NET Core microservices backend, with SQL Server 2017 as the database and RFID devices to track care-team visits and generate round data. The collaboration enabled EDN Healthcare to work with a team that felt local despite the timezone difference, with twice-weekly syncs keeping delivery aligned. No specific quantitative metrics were provided, but the partnership helped accelerate development and deliver a close, effective working relationship.
