CMA Microterabyte Leveraging NVMesh® Server SAN for High-performance Databases

CMA, a provider of IT products and services including its MicroTerabyte data analytics platform, faced the challenge of meeting its customers' insatiable demand for faster analytics. Their existing Oracle RAC infrastructure required a storage solution with ultra-low latency and high performance to handle large databases efficiently. They engaged vendor Excelero to integrate a next-generation NVMe storage tier to overcome the limitations of local, in-server flash storage and to boost their Oracle ROI.

Excelero implemented its NVMesh Server SAN software, which pools NVMe storage devices across a network to be utilized at local speeds. This allowed CMA to create a full NVMe infrastructure for its MicroTerabyte platform, simplifying operations and providing centralized, high-performance storage. The solution delivered exceptional results; in benchmarks, Excelero’s NVMesh created a 20TB Oracle tablespace three times faster than CMA's previous top-performing storage and up to ten times faster than traditional storage nodes, dramatically accelerating analytics processes.
