A ExaGrid Case Study
Morrill & Janes Bank, a Kansas-based community bank founded in 1871 with locations across Kansas and Missouri, discovered gaps in its business continuity and disaster recovery after relying on daily tape backups stored offsite. The tape process meant at least a day-old recovery point, slow restores, and onerous administration, so the IT team sought a disk-based solution that could replicate data between datacenters and meet tighter RPOs.
The bank deployed a two-site ExaGrid disk-based backup system (sites 120 miles apart) that works with its existing Symantec Backup Exec and Vizioncore vRanger Pro. ExaGrid’s post-process, byte-level deduplication sends only changes across the WAN, delivering faster backups, reduced storage and tape usage, simpler administration, immediate access to the latest backups for disaster recovery, and scalable growth—backed by responsive customer support.
