LeMaitre Vascular, a global manufacturer of disposable and implantable vascular devices, needed to modernize its backup infrastructure as it virtualized its environment. The company had been relying on external USB hard drives with Veritas Backup Exec, which caused unreliable, lengthy backup windows, difficult restores, and time-consuming manual drive swaps that sometimes disrupted production.

LeMaitre implemented an ExaGrid scale‑out backup appliance while keeping Veritas for physical servers and adding Veeam for virtual machines.
