The Lee County Tax Collector’s Office needed to replace its tape-based backup for a disk-based solution to improve backup windows, enable disaster recovery replication, and support a growing and evolving IT environment. They selected ExaGrid and its Tiered Backup Storage with Adaptive Deduplication based on its performance, price, and non-inline processing approach.

ExaGrid provided a scalable system that supported the office’s various backup applications over a decade, including during a transition to a Nutanix hyperconverged environment with HYCU. By scaling out and later refreshing to ExaGrid’s SEC models for enhanced security, the office achieved faster backups, maintained a fixed backup window, and secured ample retention capacity.
