KeyMark, a Liberty, SC-based document management firm that supports clients across finance, government, insurance and healthcare, struggled to protect a highly virtualized, constantly changing infrastructure where development and test VMs spin up and down. The environment made it difficult to ensure backups for every device and to manage retention and capacity for roughly 9 TB of weekly full backups.

KeyMark deployed two ExaGrid systems (primary and offsite) that cross-replicate deduplicated data, achieving about 12:1–14:1 deduplication to keep sync times low.
