Genesee Community College, a SUNY community college serving about 7,000 students, was struggling with an outsourced tape backup workflow for 4.5 TB of data that drove long, staggered backup windows, slow restores (weekly tape deliveries and costly special retrievals), and significant staff time for media swaps and maintenance.
