Fidelity Southern Corporation, a large Atlanta-based bank holding company, was relying on tape backups with Veritas Backup Exec and faced reliability, management and scalability challenges as it virtualized its environment. Tape rotation and robotic library maintenance were time-consuming, and FSC needed a disk-based solution that could meet shrinking backup windows and protect hundreds of servers and long-term retention requirements.
